Today, compLexity SC2’s Kevin “qxc” Riley begins his 17 hour flight to Kunshan, China for the WCG 2012 Grand Finals representing USA at the Kunshan Convention Center. Sam “FireZerg” Prowse (compLexity academy) will also be at the WCG Grand Finals representing Canada. Kevin & Sam will join 22 other players as they battle it out for $40,000 in prize money. He will start his run from Group D, which features notable players such as MarineKingPrime.

• Bo1 round-robin procedure.
• Top 2 players in groups advance.
• Ties are decided by head-to-head scores with extra tiebreaker games in the case of a 3-way tie.

Playoffs

• 8-player single-elimination bracket seeded based on performance in groups.
• All rounds in playoffs are Bo3.

Tonight compLexity’s star Terran player Heart will be participating in the GSL Code A Round of 32. This match is very important because the loser will fall out of the GSL completely and have to claw through the grueling Code A qualifiers to get back into the tournament. As if that wasn’t enough pressure, Heart will be taking on the God of Zerg, Nestea. That said, we have the utmost faith in Heart and fully expect to see him upset the three time GSL champion.

Heart joined compLexity in Feberuary of this year during a week that saw the acquisition of both NaDa and Killer. Over this year, Heart has proven that he is one of the world’s most creative and talented Terran players, taking 3rd at the MLG Winter Championship in Columbus, Ohio. Heart also managed to take 3rd place, in a tie with teamate GanZi, at the MLG Spring Arena in New York City.

Today, everyone’s favorite StarCraft II talk show – State of the Game – will be airing after a crazy weekend of MLG. As if this wasn’t exciting enough, we at compLexity are pleased to see that our Terran player, Kevin “qxc” Riley will once again be one of the show’s guests. qxc will be joined by ROOT’s ToD, ALTERNATE’s DarKFoRcE and of course the show’s main host, JP McDaniel.
