coL.HoN in HoN Tour Qualifiers

October 20th, 2012

Update: The HoN Tour has been delayed 1 week due.

Beginning today, HoN Tour kicks off with an open bracket, double elimination tournament featuring a $10,000 prize pool and running October 20th through November 4th. coL.HoN will be looking to battle hundreds of teams for their right to represent our organization in the Diamond Division, which will feature 16 of HoN Tour’s best teams.

Format

Placement in the qualifiers also determines which division teams will compete in for the first Event Cycle. The top 16 teams will be placed in the Diamond Division, the next 32 into Gold, the next 64 into Silver, and all remaining teams will be placed into the Bronze division. The most important goal for the qualifiers is to place teams into the proper division based on their skill level. The higher the division a team competes in each Event Cycle, the more money and points a team will be rewarded in subsequent Events.

coL.qxc on TL Attack!

October 16th, 2012

VOD

TeamLiquid.net recently announced that compLexity’s very own qxc will be appearing on the next episode of TeamLiquid Attack!. Broadcasting on Wednesday, Oct. 17 3:00pm EDT, qxc will be joining hosts EG.iNcontroL and ROOT.CatZ. If you’re unable to watch the broadcast live, don’t freat. According to TeamLiquid, “VODs will be made available quickly following the broadcast.”

For those of you who may not be familiar with TeamLiquid Attack!, it is a fun, casual show where a progamer is invited to take on community members in custom 1v1 games. “Typically, the player attempts creative or non-serious strategies while sharing friendly banter with the hosts. The show is a great way to get to know the personality of the popular player that might not normally be seen in serious ladder games or in tournaments.”

If you’d like a shot at taking on qxc head over to the TeamLiquid Attack post on TeamLiquid.net. There you’ll find a cheerful template. “You can put anything you want on it, about any subject (the players, host, show, TL, ESPORTS in general, etc) and we’ll even show it on stream before you play your match. Just post your cheerful in this thread with your battle.net ID (character + code) and we’ll invite the winners during the show, so make sure to watch.” If you’re not into making cheerfuls, you can also get a chance to play qxc via the “random trivia way.”

Please remember to tune in on Wednesday, Oct 17 3:00pm EDT. Considering the crazy hijinks CatZ and iNcontroL got into last episode with Sheth, you’re not going to want to miss this upcoming episode.

coL.Academy vs. Monomaniac Esports Tonight – ESEA Playoffs

October 15th, 2012

The compLexity Academy is proud to announce that is had made it into the ESEA playoffs as a 4th seed. Playing their first game tomorrow at 9:00 PM EST, The Academy will be taking on the 13th seed Monomaniac Esports.

The Academy is looking in good shape winning their last four matches. Hopefully they can carry this momentum into the post-season and really make a name for themselves in the playoffs. Monomaniac, on the other hand, has lost their last three games and will be hungry to get a win.

If The Academy can win this first round of the playoffs, they’ve got quite a road ahead of them. They will end up playing the winner of Evil Geniuses vs. Impressive Play. It is also important to note that the first place seed, ROOT-Gaming, is also on the same side of the bracket as The Academy. That said, our players have been working hard training every day in hopes that they can take home an ESEA championship.
