Sasquatch vs ROOTFitzy

TI2: Brian “FLUFFNSTUFF” Lee Interviewed by Team Liquid/MOBAFIRE

September 8th, 2012

DOTA FIRE (MOBA FIRE) interviews Brian “FLUFFNSTUFF” Lee towards the end of ‘The International’ 2012

DOTAFIRE’s Shashi “DetonatoR” Singh sat down with our very own Brian “FLUFFNSTUFF” Lee to discuss thoughts on ‘The International’ 2012. They discuss everything from the event itself to compLexity.DOTA2’s direction in the future and whether or not he found the infamous ‘IceFrog’.

Check out a small exert from the interview here:

How was your time in Seattle? When did you get here?

We didn’t really get to see much of Seattle yet, we’ve only been to downtown Seattle a couple of times. We got here on August 9th just to start our bootcamp down at Game Clucks and we’ve been here all the way through The International 2 working really hard to prepare.

Seattle, Valve. How was it? From a lot of the teams and players that I’ve spoken to, they all pretty much say the same thing, that Valve has been treating them amazingly well this entire time.

My experience with Valve has been really amazing. They treat all the players like rock stars. We get to go into their office and steal all of their food. They have really nice catering and they take care of us with assistants, basically Valve staffers or volunteers who follow each team around to make sure we get to where we have to be on time, setup our gear, basically help us out, etc.

I think that just Valve in general, the employees seem to really love DotA. They really enjoy it and they’re all big fans of the players and the teams. They all seem to want to see DotA 2 grow as an eSport. Even Gabe Newell, he plays a lot of DotA 2 and really wants it to succeed.

Brian “FLUFFNSTUFF” Lee Interviewed by Team Liquid at ‘The International’ 2012

As a part of their new DOTA2 section, Team Liquid has carried out a number of interviews throughout ‘The International’ 2012, including one with our very own Brian “FLUFFNSTUFF” Lee, the captain of our DOTA 2 team. The interview was conducted shortly after the teams exit in the tournament.

PG2: coL.Heart vs. Jangbi – WCG Korea National Finals RO16

September 6th, 2012

UPDATE: coL.Heart takes a quick 2-0 victory over JangBi and will now take on StarTale’s PartinG in the round of 8 of WCG Korea!

Tonight, compLexity.SC2’s Heart will be taking on the Protoss KESPA player Jangbi in the WCG 2012 Korea National Finals Ro16. This is going to be a tough match, considering Jangbi is the reigning OSL champion and the last Brood War champion ever. That said, this is StarCraft II and we’ve seen that BW skills do not necessarily transition to the new game.

Currently Heart has a 66.7% win rate versus Protoss (in GOMtv leagues), where as there’s no information for Jangbi. Outside of GOM, in the 2012 Auction All Kill OSL RO16, Jangi lost in the group stages 0-2 to both DongRaeGu and MarineKing.

To see Heart play, tune into GOMTV.net’s Live Stream tonight at 9:00 PM PDT / 12:00 AM EDT. Also, be sure to send him words of encouragement via Twitter @coL_Heart. This is a big match for Heart so please show him your support.

coL.Academy Loses Versus LighT eSports – ESEA

September 3rd, 2012

Last night the compLexity Academy lost its first match in the ESEA bringing its record to 2-1. After a strong initial showing versus Team Nightmares and FlowSoft Gaming, it was LighT eSports that was able to give The Academy its first loss.

The individual match-ups included:
(P)Rocker 2-0(Z)Fuzzy
(T)Knight 1-2(Z)Sasquatch
(T)Hyeon 2-0(T)Gens
(P)sson 2-0(P)Kyo

While this is a hard hit to The Academy, our boys are no stranger to adversity. They see this loss as an opportunity to improve on the weaker aspects of their game. Look for a newly focused Academy as they take on ROOT Gaming next week.
