Today the North American Star League announced its plans regarding its Season 2 grand final event. Again, the finals will take place in Ontario, California at the Ontario Convention Center this winter December 2nd-4th, 2011.
This time the NASL is boating it’s largest prize pool yet, $140,000 split between StarCraft 2 and Heroes of Newerth. Of the $140,000, $40,000 is allocated for the HoN tournament, which compLexity Gaming was just invited to.
As of right now the NASL has yet to make any announcements regarding who will be commentating the finals, although I feel safe in assuming Andre “Gretorp” Hengchua will be there along with the HoN commentators Nick “BreakyCPK” Caras and Phil “The_Thrill” Haller. Expect to see more posts as new information surfaces.
Today, Chad “minigun” Jones from coL.SC2 makes his way to Santa Monica, California for the Red Bull LAN this weekend. Chad will be participating in a 10 hour-per-day training program with 12 other top SC2 talents from across the world.
The following SC2 players will be in attendence:

Tonight at 6PM EST, MOBA Weekly will be LIVE for its fifth broadcast.
MOBA Weekly is a production headlined by three hosts and a weekly guest and will feature discussions about news, game development, eSports, strategies, rumors and more. The weekly show will serve one of the largest overall communities in the world of gaming: the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (or “MOBA”) scene that includes DotA 2, League of Legends and Heroes of Newerth.
The hosts of the show will be Adnan “Darthozzan” Dervisevic (DotA 2), Ken “xanderk” Smith (HoN) and Shaun “FourCourtJester” Delaney (LoL). Each host will have 30 minutes to discuss his respective game and 30 minutes will be reserved for the guest interview. Thanks for your support!
Today the NASL announced that compLexity Gaming is the first team to be invited to its new Heroes of Newerth tournament. Featuring eight of the world’s best HoN teams, it’s a great honor for coL to be included on the invitation list.
Hot off their first place win in the Lions Quality HoN Cup, compLexity Gaming’s HoN squad should have a decent bit of momentum working for them when the NASL starts up its HoN tournament next week (October 5). Hopes for the team are high considering “nearly every player on their main roster has seen success on other teams in their past.”
While the team sports such well known names as jaH and AMXZaku, perhaps the most interesting players on their team are Tarano and se`busca, both of which are definitely among the top players in the world. Tarano is widely known as the most underrated player in the game and considered by many top pros as the best player in the world, yet doesn’t get the same level of recognition as some other players. Se`Busca comes from a fantastic background with the powerhouse team EG/Loaded and later joined coL, in a move that was thought to be great for both sides.
Be sure to tune in and cheer on coL.HoN as they fight their way though the competition and try and prove that they are one of the best HoN squads in the world.
