In the fourth day of action in Hangzou, China at the World e-Sports Masters 2010 tournament, only two teams are left standing in We Made Fox and SK-Gaming.

Early in the day, Na`Vi took on FX to determine who would play We Made Fox in the Lower Bracket finals. The match took place on de_train and began with a strong start from Na`Vi as they took they opening pistol. FX, however, regained their composure and managed to steal the lead from Na`Vi going into the half as FX led by the score of 9-6. In the second half, it was all FX as they continued their momentum into the late stages of the match. FX only gave up 2 rounds as they grabbed the final 7 and moved on to victory where they would face We Made Fox.

Against WMF, FX looked to use the momentum in their favor as the two teams squared off on de_inferno. With some solid play by the Polish powerhouse, they managed to take a 9-6 lead going into the second half. In the second half, however, the tables completely turned against FX as We Made Fox showed that they wanted to represent their region in the finals against SK as they took it to FX, only giving up two rounds on the way to a 16-11 victory.

With the loss to FX, Na`Vi has placed 4th for this tournament, while the Frag Executors take third. SK and WMF will battle it out tomorrow for the Grand Finals to determine the winner of the WEM 2010 tournament.

Several days ago, Blight Gaming announced their new 1.6 roster, noting that this team would be a permanent fixture for Blight Gaming after the organization has gone through several teams in the past year.  According to James “blackfoger” Larsen, the team initially approached him about being signed in order for them to attend ESEA’s S7 LAN Finals in November.

We’re excited as a team to be joining the Blight Gaming Org.  We have an ESEA Invite LAN coming up and with the financial backing of Blight it made the trip a lot easier to get to with a lot less to worry about.  They’re very, very limited homes for 1.6 teams to join that are able to fully back the team with what they need.  Being in contact with Blight for less then two weeks they have given us more then what most organizations can give already.  The future looks good with us being apart of Blight and we hope to have this home for quite some time.

The MLG Dallas Championship begins tonight, November 5th. Six games will feature tournaments for this event, with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 making it’s debut. Halo 3, Starcraft 2, Tekken 6, Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Halo: Reach round out the game list.

In what turned out to be another exciting day of action at the World e-Sports Masters 2010 tournament, only 3 teams remain standing. SK has advanced to the Grand Finals with a win over We Made Fox, while Na`Vi and FX will look to battle it out in the lower bracket finals to determine who will meet SK tomorrow.

Yesterday, EG took down Fnatic in a match that ended up going a full 3 overtimes. EG managed to take the match after a successful 1 vs. 1 between Lurrpis from EG and fnatic’s Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg. After the match had taken place, both teams left for the day, however Fnatic returned later to approach the WEM admins about a possible dispute against EG. Video from Fragbite.se was uploaded that showed EG’s Danny “fRoD” Montaner using his mouse to enable his push-to-talk key for Mumble/Vent while he was dead. During this time, he also happened to be looking in the direction of a projector that was, for whatever reason, in plain sight of the players. The video shows fRoD whispering “instructions” to Lurrpis regarding the movements of f0rest. Unfortunately for Fnatic, the rules state that disputes must be submitted within 5 minutes of the match being played. The video of the actions in question can be found below:

In the third match of the day, Na`Vi and EG squared off on de_tuscan. Na`Vi jumped out to a quick start, taking the pistol round and most of the rounds that followed, only allowing the Americans to grab 2 rounds successfully in their 13-2 first half route of EG. In the second half, it was all Na`Vi yet again as they managed to secure the pistol round and march to victory by grabbing 2 more rounds to finish off EG with a 16-3 score.

With this win, Na`Vi has advanced to the Lower Bracket Finals where they will take on Frag Executors, a team that lost to We Made Fox in the 2nd round of the Upper Brackets, but managed to successfully take down Tyloo earlier today. The match is scheduled to take place at 4:45AM EST.

In an exciting day of action on day 2 of the World Extreme Masters in Hangzou, China, Na`Vi finds themselves in the lower bracket while EG inches closer to the lower bracket finals.

In one of the first matches of the day, EG squared off against Fnatic in the lower bracket on de_dust2. With Fnatic starting on the Terrorist side, they were in a place to build a lead going into the second half, but EG managed to keep it close, only allowing Fnatic to grab an expected 9 rounds, a typical score-line for the map. In the second half, with EG on the Terrorist side, Fnatic managed to extend their lead, however EG buckled down and stopped them in their tracks to make the score 15-15 and require an overtime to determine the winner.

Three overtimes were needed to finally name EG the victor as they took the final OT by the score of 4-2, making the final score 25-23, sending Fnatic packing.

SK-Gaming faced off against Na`Vi on de_train after a successful day for both teams yesterday. In the first half, Na`Vi rolled over a floundering SK team, ending the half by the score of 12-3. It looked to be all over for SK, however Johan “face” Klasson was not ready to quit. SK roared back against the Ukrainian powerhouse to take every single round of the second half, making SK victorious by the score of 16-12.

With the results from today, EG will take on Na`Vi in the lower bracket and SK will take on We Made Fox, who won earlier today against FX.

The first day of action at the World Extreme Masters 2010 in Hangzou, China has come to an end and Fnatic and EG are two of the four teams that find themselves in the lower bracket going into day 2.

EG and We Made Fox went head to head on de_inferno to kick off the third match of the day. After finishing 2nd at e-Stars 2010, WMF looked to be at the top of their game and as confident as ever as they completely demolished EG in all facets of the game. As Terrorists, WMF took round after round, finishing with an 11-4 half behind strong play from Bum-Gi “peri” Jung. In the second half, it was all WMF as they took the remaining rounds to end the match at 16-4. With this loss, EG finds themselves in the lower bracket going into day 2 of the event.

Fnatic took on the Frag eXecutors in the last match of the day as they faced off on de_nuke. Taking the opening pistol, Fnatic looked to be out to a good start, but that was all that FX would give them as they completely demolished the Swedes for the remainder of the half, with a score of 12-3 in favor of FX. In the second half, Fnatic managed to climb back into the match, even after dropping the 2nd half pistol. Fnatic grabbed 7 additional rounds to make the score 14-10 before FX bucked down and finished them off by the score of 16-10, making Fnatic the final team to join the remaining 3 in the lower bracket.

EG and Fnatic will face off tomorrow in their lower bracket match, where one of the two teams will be eliminated.

Yesterday, Activision and Treyarch released the latest trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops, one of the years most anticipated games. The trailer has been released as the official launch trailer and features a look at some of the intense new action that the game has to offer.

Call of Duty: Black Ops is to be released on November 9th, 2010. The game, published by Activision and developed by Treyarch will sell for $59.99 at release.
