Fallen Interviewed by Teamplay

October 28th, 2010

Gabriel “Fallen” Toledo was recently interviewed by Teamplay.com. The interview dives into the life of Gabriel, from his Counter-Strike play to his activity in the Brazilian military. The interview is natively in Portugese, however a link to the translation can be found below the excerpt.

NEXGenius Wins Blizzcon SC2

October 24th, 2010

Amid the controversy of the WoW finals, Blizzard’s newest release, Starcraft II was being showcased in its first Blizzcon tournament. 16 players, including names like Christopher “HuK” Loranger and Dario “TLO” Wünsch competed for their shot to win $25,000 for first place.

Those big names, however, proved to be non-factors as both TLO and Huk went down early in the tournament. Instead, Min-Soo “NEXGenius” Jung, the Protoss player from Korea, showed that the Koreans remain a dominant force in the RTS realm by going undefeated on his way to the Upper Bracket finals where he was knocked down to the lower bracket by Dai “Loner” Yi from China. It would be Loner who NEXGenius would face once more in the Grand Finals. Min-Soo proved he was the better of the two on that day as he secured the victory and took home $25,000 for first place and the title of Blizzcon’s first ever Starcraft II Champion.

Final Standings:

1st. KR Min-Soo ‘Genius’ Jung
2nd. CN Yi ‘Loner’ Dai
3rd. UA Krupnyk ‘White-Ra’ Oleksiy
