compLexity secures P-1 Athletic Visa for Jevon “Goonjar” Gooljar-Lim

May 24th, 2016

Today, we are happy to announce that we have secured a P-1 professional athlete visa for Jevon “Goonjar” Gooljar-Lim. Jevon is one of the first Call of Duty players in the world to receive a P-1 Visa, reserved for internationally-recognized athletes.

With eSports visas garnering so much attention in recent weeks, we are thrilled that another compLexity gamer has been acknowledged at such an official level. We are also confident that Jevon’s visa is a large step in the right direction for legitimizing competitive gaming; the government issues a maximum of 25,000 P visas annually, making the application and screening process very selective.

“When signing Jevon we knew it was very important to ensure his ability to participate in US LAN events,” said Kyle Bautista, General Manager of compLexity. “We made it a top priority to work with Activision/Blizzard, ESL, and the legal team at McCown & Evans to secure a P-1A visa. With his approval for a P-1A, Goonjar should have no problems entering the country for future events under the compLexity banner. We hope that our efforts will help to pave the way for more Call of Duty players to gain P-1A status and reduce the barrier of international competition.”

Jevon “Goonjar” Gooljar-Lim had this to say:

“I’m thankful to compLexity for helping me become one of the first professional Call of Duty players to be approved for a US P-1A athletic visa. This is something that I could not have achieved without their help and I look forward to being with them for the future.”

Thank you for your continued support!

Changes to coL.COD

May 22nd, 2016

Today Complexity Gaming is announcing a change in our Call of Duty roster.

Effective immediately, Chris “Parasite” Duarte will return to his starting position. We will be working with Anthony “Nameless” Wheeler to find him a new gaming home.

“Earlier this year, Chris was replaced but results since that time have been subpar to say the least,” said Jason Lake, Founder and CEO of Complexity Gaming.  “Team chemistry is a tricky thing and although we had four talented players, wins have not followed and a change was needed.  I’d like to sincerely thank Anthony for his time with us.  He’s a class act and I hope to work with him again in the future.”

Our updated COD roster:

The squad’s next match is Tuesday vs. Cloud9 in Week 6 of the Call of Duty World League.

Thanks as always for your support!

Happy Birthday Zfreek!

May 14th, 2016

The Syndicate would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Zakari “Zfreek” Freedman as he turns 22 today!

Perhaps one of the best players in HoN history, ZfreeK has made a career in the shadows of other big names. As a jungle player and support his actions would be expected to remain in the background, yet Zfreek’s skills showed off a new potential in his positions. With stellar play on multiple teams and in multiple roles ZfreeK has earned himself a spot in the elite player group. His consistency and dedication to learning a game inside and out are what make him a force on the field, while his sarcastic nature and quick wit are what make him a fan favorite.

Once again, we’d like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Zakari “Zfreek” Freedman!

compLexity 2016: A Logo Reborn

May 8th, 2016

Today marks the dawning of a new era for compLexity- a logo reborn and a fresh new outlook on the future. We wrestled for quite some time with how to bring our old, beloved mark into the modern age. We wanted something new and relevant but didn’t want to abandon 13 years of history and legacy. We hope you’ll agree our new look accomplishes those goals. Like our organization, we believe it is forward thinking, yet historically respectful.
