Earlier this week The compLexity Academy won the Go4LoL Cup #116. The Academy really brought their A-game tearing through the 128 team bracket. In the end it came down to The Academy versus Kimchi to the Challenger, who was quickly defeated 1-0.
This tournament win brings The Academy one step closer to earning a spot in the Go4LoL Monthly Finals. After last month’s defeat The Academy is really wanting that finals victory.
UPDATE: QXC wins an invitation and a free trip to HomeStory Cup VII after defeating CatZ 3-0 in the Grand Finals. Hendralisk finishes third after defeating State in the third place match.

Tonight, the North American qualifiers for HomeStory Cup VII kicked off. Members of the compLexity StarCraft 2 team participated in the qualifier such as Kevin “qxc” Riley, Gage “Sasquatch” DuBose and Henry “hendralisk” Zheng.

In one of the semi-finals, qxc and Hendralisk faced off against each other in the semi-finals of the qualifier after beating their respective opponents of EG’s Chris “HuK” Loranger and CMStorm’s Choi “Polt” Seong Hoon. Qxc was victorious after beating Hendralisk 2-0 and he will advance into the Grand Finals of the qualifier to go against ROOT’s CatZ. Hendralisk will go into a third place match against Ryan “State” Visbeck.

This week The compLexity Academy’s StarCraft II squad will be pitted against itself for the compLexity Academy MLG Spring Qualifier. This tournament, hosted by compLexity Gaming, is used to determine which player from The Academy will receive an all expense paid trip to the MLG Spring Championship in Anaheim, CA.
The action already kicked off on Monday and saw Ero-Sennin defeat Midday 2-0, Duster defeat Nocreativity 2-0, and Firezerg defeat Agiantsmurf 2-1. If you’re a fan of one of the losing players don’t get upset, this is a double elimination bracket, so there’s still hope.

On June 10th, Choi “TheStC” Yun Sik will be playing in his Challenger League Group matches of WCS America. His group will feature former compLexity players Michael “Goswser” Dobler and Kim “Heart” Min Hyuk as well Invictus Gaming’s Xiang “MacSed” Hu. Two players will advance to the WCS America Premier League while on will stay in the Challenger League. One unlucky player will have to re-qualify to make it back into WCS America. The group will kick off at 6PM EDT. Make sure to tune in and support our Korean Terran as he makes his to stay in WCS Premier League.
